MENG Jianqiang, Born in 1979, Yanzhou, Shandong Province, Professor, Doctoral Tutor, Tiangong University. In 2000, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Shandong University. In 2005, he received a Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry from Peking University, and was tutored by Professor Li Zichen. From 2005 to 2008, he worked in the global R&D center of General Electric (GE) Company in the United States, engaged in the research of seawater desalination reverse osmosis membranes, and successively served as an assistant researcher and associate researcher. Since 2009, he has worked in Tiangong University as a lecturer and associate professor. He was hired as a professor and doctoral supervisor in 2014. In 2012, visiting scholar and co-professor Benny D. Freeman of the University of Texas at Austin (UT AUSTIN) in the United States. Lectures for undergraduates Introduction to MaterialsHe presided over four projects and several horizontal projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of ChinaParticipated in one major project of National 863 Program (third), one key project of National Natural Science Foundation (third), and one pre-research project of National 973 Program. In 2014, he was selected as the first batch of young talents of science and technology in Tianjin (Tianjin Science and Technology Commission Innovative Talents Promotion Plan); in 2015, he was selected as the first batch of top-notch young talents in Tianjin (Tianjin Municipal Committee Organization Department Talents Special Support Plan); from 2016 to now, he has served as the director of Beijing Membrane Society; from 2017 to now, he has served as China Textile Engineering Society Member of the Youth Working Committee, Member of the First Youth Expert Committee of the Seawater Desalination and Water Reuse Branch of the Chinese Oceanic Society, and Executive Chairman of the Youth Scientists Forum of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology in 2018.
