KANG Jianli, Professor, Ph.D. In 2009, he graduated from Tianjin University with a Ph.D. degree in Material Science. Visiting Scholar (Joint Training) of Illinois Polytechnic University, USA, 2007-2009, Assistant Researcher of Northeastern University, Japan, 2010-2013. Mainly from the advance research of functional materials and metal film materials. In recent years, a series of innovative research accomplishements  have been achieved in three-dimensional nanoporous metal matrix composites, porous carbon nanomaterials and their applications. He presided over the major projects of new materials science and technology in Tianjin, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Tianjin Applied Foundation and Frontier Research Program, and won the first prize of Tianjin Natural Science in 2010. More than 30 research papers have been published in international authoritative journals such as Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Nano, Adv. Energy Mater., and Nano Energy. There are many patents on the preparation and application of new materials such as porous metals and carbon nanomaterials.
