Major research areas

  • Fiber Bragg grating sensing: We focus on the design and experimental validation of physical, mechanical, chemical and biomedical sensors in optical fiber Bragg grating.

  • Photonic integration: We focus on the miniaturisation of photonic devices, monolithic integration of photonic devices, heterogeneous and hybrid integration with silicon technology.

  • Wearable application: We focus on wearable fiber Bragg grating sensing and application, which can measure physiological parameters such as the body temperature, heart rate, pulse, blood pressure and heartbeat.
