Ⅰ、Training objectives
Gain understanding of engineering concepts, practice and design processes that underpin modern telecommunication networks, services and applications for efficient service delivery in modern society.
Modern communication systems including mobile telephone systems, computer networks and the Internet depend on foundations in telecommunications engineering. Information and communication technologies. Much of the growth in the internet has come from mobile telephony. It has forced researchers to come up with more advanced and efficient technologies. As a result, many technologies have merged into an integrated all-purpose telecommunications network architecture. These services rely on fast, reliable wireless technologies. Telecommunications and networking are becoming some of the fastest growing professions today.
Ⅱ、Training requirements
The major focuses on three key areas of teaching and learning, which include theoretical foundations, practical skills and soft skills. During the four years, the emphasis are on understanding engineering concepts relevant to the degree and laying the foundations to progress into more focused discipline of telecommunications engineering. To further enhance the development of practical skills, the course has embedded in them practical laboratory sessions and industry experience or internship. It also offers the foundation for future technologies such as robotics, mechatronics, home automation, the Internet of things and mobile networks.
Requirement of Graduation:
1. Knowledge of mathematics, science, and management relevant with the subject of electrical engineering.
2. Basic theory and professional knowledge about the subject of electrical engineering, and more systematic engineering practice experience.
3. Ability to design and implement engineering experiments, and to analyze the results of the experiment.
4. Current status and trend of the electrical profession, and to have a attitude and consciousness of innovation.
5. Ability to design systems and processes with combination of theory and technology.
