Research Expertise

Yin’s research focus on the heterogeneous and nano- catalysis for the renewable energy and environmental process, which include electrocatalysis, such as synthesis of metallic-based nanoparticles and application on the direct methanol fuel cells, CO2 conversion with Pd-based nanocatalysts; organic electrosynthesis and water treatment via electrocatalytic membrane technologies.

His expertise and practical experience also covers the areas of application of the low-dimensional nanomaterials, such as one-dimensional Au nanochains for thephotothermal therapy, photocatalysis and surface enhancement Raman spectroscopy and so on.

1.Controlled Structure and tunable catalytic activities towards ORR via bimetallic nanoparticles supported on the graphene, National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 21303119), PI, 2013-2016.

2.Nanocatalysts based on the nanoscale confinement via hollow structure for the low-temperature catalytic oxidation of nitrogen oxides, Tianjin Research Program of Application Foundation and Advanced Technology (No. 15JCQNJC05300), PI, 2015-2018.
