Introduction:
Prof. Niu is the director of High Power Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education, director of Tianjin Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Technology Center, director of Semiconductor Light Source System Special Committee of Chinese Electrotechnical Society, secretary-general of Tianjin Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance for Semiconductor Light Source System Industry, member of 12th Tianjin Youth Federation, and the chairman of Tiangong University Haiyu Semiconductor Lighting Co., Ltd. She has been researching in novel optoelectronic devices, semiconductor lighting application products and system integration technology, and presided over a number of national and provincial/ministerial level key projects, such as The National 863 plan, National Torch Plan, National Natural Science Foundation, China EU International Cooperation Project, Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Projects as well as one of the twenty Tianjin Major Projects of Independent Innovation Industrialization. She has been honored the second and third prize (twice) of the “Tianjin Science and Technology Advancement Award” and awarded the titles of Tianjin 51 Labor Medallists, Tianjin “Three Eight” red banner pacesetter, Tianjin Labor Model, National Advanced Worker, Tianjin Outstanding Scientific & Technological Worker, first level candidate for Tianjin 131 innovative talents cultivation engineering and National Innovation Talent. In recent five years, she published more than 70 articles in core journals, in which 45 articles were indexed by SCI/EI/ISTP, and applied for or obtained 36 national patents.
