Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship(TJPU one year tuition fee free partial scholarship) is to support international students to study degree program in TJPU.
I Supporting Categories, Duration and Instruction Language
1. Supporting Category. It mainly supports international students to study degree programs in TJPU. Applicant to study in below school or program will be in priority in scholarship candidate assessment: school of textiles science and engineering, school of material science and engineering, school of chemistry and chemical engineering, school of environmental science and engineering and school of mechanical engineering, and program of computer science and technology, electronics science and technology, information and communication engineering, mathematics, management science and engineering, electrical engineering, control science and engineering from our other schools.
2. Duration. This scholarship supports students for one academic year.
3. Instruction Language
Chinese-taught program or English-taught program.
II Partial Scholarship Coverage
TJPU provides a partial scholarship which covers tuition fee for one year degree study.
III Where and When to Apply
Where to Apply
Apply to School of International Education of TJPU undertaking this program.
When to Apply
You need to apply from beginning of March to May 15 for September entrance.
IV Eligibility
Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health, decide to apply to study in TJPU as his/her first choice or a registered student in TJPU.
18years old - 30 years old /35 years old/40 years old for applicant study towards bachelor/master/Phd degree.
V Application Procedure

Step 2– Submit or post all your application form and documents in hard copy in duplicate to : Admissions Office, School of International Education, Tianjin Polytechnic University, Address: No.399,Binshuixi Road, Xiqing District, Tianjin, P.R.China.Post code:300387 Tel:83955625. before June 12,2019. And email scanned copy to tjpuapplication@126.com.
Step 3 - If you were admitted, you will be informed to pay registration fee RMB500 to confirm placement and get JW202 visa application form and original Admission Notice after that.
VI Application Documents （in duplicate）
1.Application Form （Type and print in Chinese or English, glued with photo and signed by applicant）;
2.Passport copy (also include visa/residence permit page if the applicant are studying in other school in China and school name you are studying)
3.Notarized highest diploma;
Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
4.Academic transcripts（written in Chinese or English）;
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
5.Two Recommendation Letters （applicable for postgraduate degree students, written in Chinese or English）;
Applicants must submit two recommendation letters signed by a professor or an associate professor.
6. Foreigner Physical Examination Form（photocopy）（applicable for student to be new enrolled in TJPU，written in English）
The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
7. The copy of valid language proficiency proof （if applicable）
All documents should be bound together on top left corner in the order of 7.1 to 7.7 ,you should submit TWO sets of bound documents. No application documents will be returned. Listed above documents is compulsory to provide.
VII Scholarship Confirmation
1. TJPU School of International Education will screen the application documents and video/audio interview decide the partial scholarship recipient.
2. Each scholarship recipient will be granted no more than one Chinese government or TJPU scholarship.
3. TJPU School of International Education will send the admission documents（Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China （JW202））to scholarship recipients or inform the students in study the grant of scholarship.
4. Scholarship recipients shall not change host university, field of study, or duration of study unless they give up the grant.
5. Scholarship will not be reserved if scholarship recipient cannot register before the registration deadline .
