Introduction

Dr. Zheng Chunming has been engaged in fundamental research in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials and porous composite materials for an extended period. He has developed various micro/nanostructured material synthesis techniques, including self-assembly, template etching, and surfactant-induced methods, which have been applied in interface adsorption and energy conversion studies. Dr. Zheng Chunming was the first to propose the "container effect" of mesoporous metal oxides, significantly enhancing the efficiency of adsorption and solute migration at solid-liquid interfaces.

Dr. Zheng Chunming lectures undergraduate courses "Analysis of Complex Substances" (with self-compiled teaching materials), "Auxiliary Chemistry," "Instrumental Analysis," and "Experimental Techniques in Instrumental Analysis" (entirely in English).

Dr. Zheng Chunming has led numerous projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Development and Reform Commission's investment plan, as well as provincial and ministerial-level projects (Tianjin Natural Science Foundation, Yunnan Province Key Plan for Science and Technology Innovation, and Yunnan Development and Reform Commission on Comprehensive Utilization of Environmental Resources). They have developed technologies for treating biomass wastewater with porous silica adsorption materials. This technology has been used for treating filter cloth washing water and boiler water film dust removal wastewater. It meets the industrial water requirements and is recycled with cooling condensate water, reducing CODcr emissions over 350 tons per year.

Dr. Zheng Chunming has successfully managed over 20 fundamental application projects in the field of inorganic non-metallic materials under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. They have published over 80 SCI papers, including 50+ as the first or corresponding author, in prestigious journals like ACS Nano, Nano Energy, ChemSusChem, Bioresource Technology, Nanoscale, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, achieving an H-index of 24 with four papers selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers. Additionally, Dr. Zheng Chunming has filed 13 patents, 8 granted.
