• International collaboration

The School of Electronic and Information Engineering actively promotes the international cooperation and exchanges. We undergo the tripartite collaboration with the Electrical, Computer & Telecommunications Engineering School of University of Wollongong of Australia (UOW), in the areas of student exchange, research collaboration, staff visit, and so on.

Since 2005, we have started a “1+1” program with UOW. The students accept one year of postgraduate studies at TJPU and continual their education at UOW. This program assists the students to reach their goals of accessing to high-level education by less cost.In the decade, over 80% of students in this program have been successfully obtained the offers from UOW.

In the light of spirit of “encourage the whole or most of the teaching programs should be completed at home” promoted by Chinese Ministry of Education, in 2011, we submitted the “4+0” program with UOW for our telecommunication major undergraduate students. It is designed for that we introduce partial lectures from UOW, however all of the teaching activities carry out at TJPU. The UOW visiting teachers come to our campus annually.

We also launch series of research cooperation and talents cultivation. We were honored to engage the Professor Jiangtao Xi of UOW as visiting chair professor of our school. He is also adapted to list in the “Tianjin Thousand Talents Plan”. Up to now, we have invited 6 experts of UOW to visit our school meanwhile dispatched more than 9 staff to visit UOW for training.
